At Visiting Nurse|Hospice Atlanta, we very much value our preferred partnerships throughout Georgia. In order to offer a true care continuum to Georgia’s citizens, we have established, valuable relationships with Atlanta’s finest institutions.
Visiting Nurse Health System offers patient-centered care, and so do our partners in care. We are honored that our partnering hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and health care organizations trust the health and care of their discharged patients to Visiting Nurse Health System and Hospice Atlanta.
One of the many benefits of being a not-for-profit organization is that we serve our Atlanta community instead of shareholders. The earnings we receive we are able give back to the patients and community we have had the privilege of serving for 75 years through our full care continuum of in-home healthcare services: Home Health, Palliative Care, Hospice Care, Senior Living and Private Home Care. We proudly serve our patients and community programs, the insured and underinsured patients alike, while investing in our clinicians staff and employees who deliver that care as well.
Each year, Visiting Nurse Health System, along with our valuable community partners provide more than $6 million of needed programs and services to the community. We partner with exceptional nonprofit organizations such as Grady Health System, Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health, The Fuqua Center for Late Life Depression, Atlanta Housing Authority, the Alzheimer’s Association (Georgia Chapter), the United The United Way of Greater Atlanta, Fulton and DeKalb county office for senior affairs, and many other wonderful organizations. Our community services include everything from providing free COVID testing and flu shots to coordinating health services for the senior community to help them stay independent and in their homes for as long as possible. These programs make us unique among home healthcare providers in the metro Atlanta area.
